Preservationists' campaign against the new LG headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, just got a boost from the World Monuments Fund, which named New Jersey's Palisades and Manhattan's Cloisters to its annual endangered sites list. There are two lawsuits against LG's construction plans, which opponents say would raise a structure too high above the tree line. The World Monuments Fund agrees, claiming that the project would "seriously affect one of the most unspoiled areas of the Hudson River" and "have a negative environmental impact on the region."
