Yoko Ono purchased a penthouse at 49 Downing Street for her son Sean in 1995, but he left after only a few years of living there. Ono now claims, in a $6.6 million lawsuit, that the co-op board interfered with her attempts to sell the empty apartment. (Ono herself still lives in the Dakota.) The board, says Ono, has a pretty good thing going with an absentee owner who still pays all of her expenses, so they would prefer that she not sell. [NYP; previously]
