The Est4te Four-developed 160 Imlay Street has a new teaser site, which reveals three new renderings, showing the building's exterior from an overhead view, a living room, and the lobby. Unfortunately, the rooftop pool that appeared in a previous incarnation of the overhead rendering is no more, replaced by a regular old roof deck (although is that a little hot tub we spy on top of the penthouse?). The teaser site also reveals that the 70-unit mixed-use warehouse conversion will launch sales on January 1.
The building, designed by Adjmi & Andreoli, who have rebranded themselves AA Studio, is being marketed as a (relatively) affordable space for artists, with art studios and units starting at $500,000. It will include parking, storage, a gym, and commercial space on the ground floor. Construction is expected to take another 18 to 24 months. The developers and architects are also planning another Red Hook warehouse conversion at 202 Coffey Street, which will include artists' studios and gallery space.
