It's the latest sign that the rent is too damn high... in Brooklyn. Notable blogger Montrose Morris (that's a pen name), who writes on history and architecture topics for Brownstoner, was priced out of the borough, and now is based in upstate New York despite building a career around her expertise of King's County. The Times chronicles her townhouse rental in Bed-Stuy and rowhouse purchase in Crown Heights, how prices skyrocketed, and why she left: "About twice a month, she visits Brooklyn and gives walking tours of neighborhoods she can no longer afford to live in. ('The irony is not lost on me,' she said.)." [NYT]
