The last we heard about the new condo rising at 15 Leonard Street, owner Steven Schnall was embroiled in a legal battle over not the construction of his building cracked the 157-year-old building next door. It's unclear if that dispute has been resolved, but 15 Leonard Street has clearly put the debacle in the past; the Post reports that sales at the nine-story, six-unit condo will launch April 1. The news comes with a slew of new renderings, showing the triplex penthouse (above), the interiors, and an updated facade.
The new building, approved by the Landmarks Preservation Commission in July 2012 replaces two low-rise parking garages. It features four full-floor, 2,620-square-foot, 4BR/3.5BA homes, plus a 7,220-square-foot townhouse and a 4,600-square-foot triplex penthouse. The latter will both have outdoor space, and prices will start at $5.995 million. The building, designed by Turett Collaborative Architects, should be complete by the end of the year.
