For many lifelong New Yorkers, Crown Heights is still associated with riots, despite the fact that they occurred more than two decades ago. Things are much, much different today. The neighborhood is one of the hottest and fastest changing areas of Brooklyn (there are more than a few trend pieces about it), drawing dozens of new shops, restaurants, and oh yes, plenty of new residential developments. Crown Heights seems to be developers' new favorite playgroundthere are dozens of new developments popping up all over the 'hood. To keep track of the changes, we mapped 23 new residential projects in Crown Heights. A few of these were complete within the last year and a few are almost ready to hit the market, but most are still under construction or in development, so residents should brace themselves for the next wave of change.
