Well, it seems that the lawsuit filed against the Horizon Group in an attempt to stop the development at 157 Norfolk Street did nothing. The Department of Buildings approved construction permits for a new six-story building at the site, which sits on part of what used to be the Children's Magical Garden. Last year, former site owner Serge Hoyda sparked outrage and erected a fence through the middle of the garden, taking his side back. The community tried to sue for ownership, but it looks like that's not happening. [Bowery Boogie; previously]
