Kentile Sign Lit Up in Gowanus, Brooklyn from Barry Yanowitz on Vimeo.
GOWANUSOn Saturday night, the iconic Kentile Floors sign that has been dark since 1992 lit up the Gowanus sky once more. The one-night stint was the vision of filmmaker Tim Bartlett, Vanderbilt Republic's George Del Barrio, and Karl Mehrer of K2imaging. The trio used projection and 3D technology to cast light onto the defunct sign. As Gothamist notes, there's plenty of imagery of the occurance floating around the web. The prime example above comes from Barry Yankowitz. [Gothamist; previously]
