It looks like the Andy Warhol museum proposed for Lower East Side-transforming megaproject Essex Crossing is actually happening. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the hometown paper of the 20-year-old original Warhol museum, got confirmation that a 10,000-square-foot outpost will rise on the site of the Broome Street municipal parking lot, with a projected opening date of 2017. Developers are funding it themselves and also say they'll foot the bill for any operating deficits accrued during the first five years the museum is open. [Bowery Boogie; previously]
