The onslaught of spring sales launches continues at its breakneck pace with the debut of 199 Mott Street in Nolita. The first five condos in green developer Alfa's project between Spring and Kenmare hit the market today, with a two-bedroom, two-bath starting at $2,600,000 and a full-floor 3BR unit with a balcony on the 7th floor asking $7.5 million. Across all eight stories, the condos will be two- and three-bedrooms, ranging from 1,225 to over 3,000 square feet, with an aesthetic that's supposed to feel at once historic and modern. Apparently this contradiction in terms is bridged via, among other things, bronze finishes and fixtures and tall raised panel doors. Pricing for the most expensive units (probably the eighth floor's) could go as high as $9.5 million. Also, Alfa's gunning for LEED Gold status with this 11-unit development, designed by Kutnicki Bernstein Architects with a facade of red brick, steel and limestone. Amenities include a landscaped roof deck.
