The New York Public Library's Rose Reading Room will be closed for six months of repairs following May's incident of falling ceiling plaster. During the six months, the reading and catalog rooms, which have been closed since the May 29 occurrence, will undergo a "full-scale inspection." There is no cost estimate for the repairs, but they'll likely cost lessa lot lessthan the scrapped $300 million renovation plan for the building. [WSJ; previously]
