This completely out of control Soho loft can't seem to get anyone to buy it, which is crazy because who wouldn't want to own an apartment with a bright red kitchen, an enormous bull head designed by the same guy who did the Wall Street bull, and a petrified tree hanging from the ceiling? It has had some success on the rental market, though, to which it just returned, asking $17,000/month.
Just to recap, the apartment was formerly owned by Italian playboy (a term he was not the most fond of) Roffredo Gaetani di Laurenzana dell'Aquila d'Aragona Lovatelli, who died in a car crash in 2005. Gaetani is notable for being a prince, count, and duke; being related to two Popes; dating Ivana Trump; collecting and selling Ferraris; challenging Mickey Rourke to a boxing match; et cetera. After his death, the apartment was purchased by a pair of bachelor brothers who loved it so much they kept basically all the decor, but eventually tired of it. It now seems to have settled into its role as a permanent, and permanently insane, rental.
