Since people are now willing to pay lots of money to live in Queens, particularly in Long Island City, developers are starting to catch on and make the apartments smaller in order to fit more of them in. "In a new market report, Modern Spaces found the average square footage of Long Island City condos on the market fell each quarter since the beginning of 2012. In the second quarter of 2014, the average condo size was 828 square feet, a 29% decline in two years."
