The long-delayed 7 train extension from Times Square to 34th Street and Eleventh Avenue is on track to (finally) open in February. According to a new agreement, the MTA is promising $4.75 million in incentive fees if construction is complete by February 24. Serving the Hudson Yards megaproject-to-be, new station will include fancy-schmancy glass elevators that travel on a 27-degree incline as well as platform-cooling mechanisms. [NYDN; previously]
