Two months after Aby Rosen's RFR Holding shelled out $90 million for a Holiday Inn in Soho, the hotel is readying for an upscale makeover. The 14-story, 227-room property (which is, according to one recent review, "awful") will close in January for a one-year renovation, and come out the other side a tony boutique hotel in the vein of others that RFR owns, like the Gramercy Park Hotel. Just a guess, but Chingy, Luda, and Snoop probably wouldn't fit in. [Crain's]
