Once stunningly ornate, the RKO Keith's movie theater on Northern Boulevard in Flushing has fallen into total disrepair as it awaits its future as an uber-modern condo building. Brownstoner Queens published a slew of photos from inside the decrepit, graffiti-covered cinema, which will soon begin its conversion into 270 apartments, a 300-car garage, and ground-floor retail space. After a four-year back-and-forth about the site's future, the end result, though glassy on the outside, will retain the landmarked lobby and ticket booth within. But as for the rest of the theater? Totally falling apart.
