The Daily News has come out with its Editorial Opinion on the Airbnb controversy, which is that Airbnb is fine, except when it isn't, but the city is taking care of that, probably. The city has a "responsibility and ability to go after those who are in the business of running illegal hotels. There are health and safety hazards," the Daily News writes. However, "[City] Council should stand down [because] If we take the de Blasio administration at its word, it is making [a] smart distinction" by only investigating illegal hotels when there is a 311 complaint.
