The Rabsky Group has filed plans with the city to rezone two manufacturing blocks on Wallabout Street near the Flushing Avenue G stop with the intent to bring a ginormous mixed-use development to the site. The Real Deal reports that the prolific Brooklyn developer, also behind the Rheingold Brewery redevelopment in Bed-Stuy, plans to bring eight buildings to the full-block sites at 249 and 334 Wallabout Street that would hold 622 market-rate apartments, 155 affordable apartments, and 32,000 square feet of retail space. Rabsky Group bought the Marcy Houses-adjacent sites on the Williamsburg and Bed-Stuy border for $12.8 million in 2012 from Pfizer. Another of the pharma giant's Brooklyn factories has since been converted into an office building.
