Harkening back to the days of the Bushwick Trailer Park, a.k.a. the Bushwick Project for the Arts, a Brooklyn man recently claimed to be living legally in a trailer parked on a Bushwick lot, saying that he had signed a five-month lease for $500/month. However, the lot's owner disagreed, claiming that the lease was a fake, and ended up calling the cops, prompting the owner of the trailer to surrender and move it to the street. Perhaps he would have lasted longer if he'd taken a page from his predecessor's book and given quotes like, "I think rent is a kind of theft," and "I didn't expect to go to college and then deal with this."
