Greenland Forest City Partners (the partnership of Chinese developer Greenland Group and Forest City Ratner that is developing Pacific Park, the megaproject that used be known as Atlantic Yards...phew) has announced that they will adorn the 820-foot-long construction fence on Dean Street between Vanderbilt and Carlton avenues with 10 murals by Brooklyn artists. "Pacific Park Arts" is being curated by "Artist-in-Chief" Mike Perry, whose work you may recognize from the opening credits of Broad City. Perry drew up a 2D map of Brooklyn (above) to promote the project, and has selected artists Morgan Blair, Eddie Perrote, Josh Cochran, Archie Lee Coates IV, Hisham Akira Bharoocha, Thomas Colligan, Jennifer Maravillas, Naomi Reis and Edward Ubiera, to create the other nine murals. "We wanted to do something visual, that gives a little visual reprieve to the neighborhood, that turns this giant ugly wall into something special," he told the Times.
