A Curbed insider spotted a fencepost rendering for a new building rising in East Harlem on East 115th Street between Park and Lexington avenues, giving us a first look at what's coming to the long-empty site.
When plans for the ground-up building were first filed in December 2014 by ACNY Developers Inc., New York YIMBY reported that the building would rise eight stories and hold 32 apartments that will span an average of 700 square feet each. The permits on file for 109 East 115th Street confirm that that's still the plan, and also show that the building will have two duplex penthouses, a cellar-level gym ground floor community space for an undetermined non-profit, and a second floor terrace for building residents.
Thomas O'Hara Architects (HTO) is the building's architect of record. Curbed has reached out for more information, so stay tuned.
