The 2005 Zagat Survey hits the streets today. Eric Ripert's Le Bernardin earned 28 out of 30 points for food, retaining its top food ranking. (Per Se scored 29, but opened too late in the year to qualify.) What really shouldn't be missed, however, is the NYT op-ed by Tim & Nina that charts the evolution in NYC dining from 1979 to the present day. Sample prose: "At Matsuri, it's anyone's guess which is the sink and which is the urinal."
