Following numerous charges of neglect, photographer Annie Leibovitz finally has started repair work on the block of three townhouses she owns in the far West Village. The townhouses, currently propped up with supports and surrounded by scaffolding, have vexed the Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation during the two years since workers for Leibovitz destabilized an interior wall in fall 2002.
