Blogger ToTC reports from brunchtime on Clinton Street yesterday:
Perhaps the best show on Sunday was reserved for those waiting outside the Clinton Street Baking Co. for a table. Those patient brunch-goers were treated to the sight of a man wildly waving a butcher's knife in the air as he screamed profanities and chased down another individual. They made their way up Clinton and Avenue B, and for a while nobody was sure whether this was a real situation or some guerilla LES street performance, a confusion compounded by the fact that the man being chased didn't seem too concerned that he was being pursued by a guy with a butcher's knife. We won't spoil the ending, but it does involve a meter maid. Yes sir, just another mellow Sunday on the Good Old Lower East Side.
