A revised plan for the remaking of 2 Columbus Circle hopes to win detractors to the side of its patron, the Museum of Arts and Design. Though the plan plays on the balance between past and present, NYT architecture critic Nicolai Ouroussoff is unimpressed: "It seems that private interests are once again being favored above the broader public realm. Stone's design, and the people of this city, deserve more respect than this."
