In general, we love dive bars?especially ones located within spitting distance of home. So, over the years, we?ve tried to warm up to the 169 Bar on E B'way. But 169's stereo sounds too tinny and too laden with bass all at once. And each patron looks depressingly alone. Well, 169 seems aware of its lack of charisma, trying out every kind of music?from Mark the Harper to reggae DJs?to draw drinkers. But really, Jell-O wrestling on the LES?
Would the last hipster out please turn off the lights?
