Following up on Tuesday night's "demolition" party at Lower East Side kosher outpost Ratner's, ebway.org notes, "Perhaps 'demolition' was too strong a word?" From this week's Villager:
"The building?s not going to be demolished," said Ratner?s co-owner Robert Harmatz. Instead, a 12-story apartment building will be built over the old kitchen space, while Lansky Lounge, which currently uses the rest of the old restaurant space, will stay intact. Can't wait to see the marketing materials for the Meyer Lansky Condos.
