Astounding news from the World Trade Center redevelopment world, where a jury ruled that Larry Silverstein is entitled to a double payout of $2.2 billion on a chunk of nine insurance policies. (He'd previously lost a similar ruling on a bunch of other, more valuable policies.) Assuming it stands up on appeal, the jury's ruling adds another $1.1 billion to the downtown redevelopment pot?a pot that, given the ruling, Silverstein is likely to control for some time to come. Mwahahahahahahah!
