A website dedicated to Pale Male, the hawk that lived at 927 Fifth, offers some further (unconfirmed) details about the nest's removal: "Pale Male's nest was removed [yesterday] at about 3PM by a contractor. Brown Harris Stephens, the building owner & manager, got permission from The US Fish & Wildlife Service because they told them the nest was inactive. I have all the proof they need that this nest was very active." More at PaleMale.com.
