Hawk Nest Down at 927 Fifth

Proving once and for all that luxury apartment owners are good, decent people, the co-op at 927 Fifth Avenue removed the famed hawk's nest (above) that's occupied a perch on the 12th floor of the building's facade for years. Outraged individuals include building resident Mary Tyler Moore, who told the NYT that the building's co-op board ok'd the removal, and Memefirst's Felix Salmon, who writes, "The idea that a handful of selfish apartment owners would deprive hundreds of thousands of people (at a conservative guess) of so much pleasure really ires me. Fuckers." (AP photo via Y! News)
