Move over, orchid! Now there's something stupider! According to an article in the Wall Street Journal, minature mangrove trees are the gimmicky apartment decorating device du jour. (Or, in the chilling words of the WSJ, "the next hot houseplant.") Whole Foods is apparently selling them in Manhattan, as are Target stores nationwide. The price ($14.99) sounds reasonable. We urge you, however, not to dive into the mangrove lovers forum on GardenWeb.com. Because freedom of speech should have some limits.
