Open House Smackdown!

An article by Motoko Rich in today's Times hits on one of Curbed's favorite obsessions: ludicrously overcrowded apartment open houses. Things are getting so out of hand in this tight housing market that some co-op boards are thinking about banning them outright. The dark underbelly of this path: not only will it discourage bidding wars brought on by that niggling sense of desperation, but it will also limit your neighbors' ability to gawk at your terrible decorating taste. ("I really love the painting above the bed.") Feeling left out of this hot trend? Join in this weekend with the handy links below. Just think of all the nearby apartment owners you'll enrage.
