Upper West Siders too lazy to make their way across the park to the Kips Bay Showhouse can catch a sneak peek?and a slew of timely, transcendent decorating ideas!?at the Mormon Church's new Manhattan temple on West 65th Street, as it opens on Saturday for a month of public tours. Reports the Daily News, "The soundproofed, windowless, three-level temple is a vision in white, with plush carpets, shimmering marble and gold leaf." And, as further evidence that the Church is keeping up with the MTV generation, they seem to have a kick-ass home theater going. Kill Bill double feature, anyone?
