Some welcome news for the under-restauranted Meatpacking District: a new Thai restaurant with the understated name Highline: The Dining Journey, has touched down adjacent to Highline: The Elevated Railroad Tracks. [835 Washington St. @ Little W. 12th, 212-243-3339]. The mod-themed triplex interior features a waterfall?and, we imagine, food. (A Curbed spy snapped these exterior shots last weekend.) It's scheduled to open today, but this morning the phone rings, lonely and unanswered. Anyone know the scoop?
UPDATE, 12:05pm: Open tonight. Special RESY report from the man himself: "no rings, i think we can squeeze two more at 8."
