Opposition to West Side Stadium Plan

In a bona fide blow to West Side stadium efforts, the influential Regional Plan Association has become the first major body to come out against the idea. Reads the draft report, "There is no compelling need to place this facility in a part of the city that should be devoted to high-value, high-density office and residential development." No compelling need? People, this is football. On Manhattan. Case closed!
