Apartment Prices Up, Up and Away

It's not enough anymore just to announce that Manhattan and Brooklyn apartments are getting more expensive. Brokers also must twist the knife. With the release of Corcoran's first-half market report, CEO Pamela Liebman says, "Just to live in one room... will cost you just under $400,000. And that doesn't even mean you'll get a view out that one window." (Thanks, Pam!) Full market analysis to come later today when Douglas Elliman releases its report.
