Today's horrifying trend update: pods are all the rage! The MetroNaps nap center in the Empire State Building is getting bustout buzz, and the Times reports today that the future of hotels lies in making the rooms really, really small. (Says travel writer Pico Iyer, "If we give them a box to sleep in, make sure it's a nicely designed box.") Better than both articles is the Metronaps website, which seems to be catering to a very particular clientele: "Use the MetroNaps Wake Station?s lotion, facial spritz and lemon-scented hand towels to prepare yourself for work."
