Not content to surrender the Red Hook beat to its archrival, the Daily News hits back with its own Red Hook scoop today. Word from a City Planning meeting yesterday is that Ikea's plan for a waterfront outpost in Red Hook is gaining momentum?helped in part by the fact that the superstore bused in grannies wearing "Ikea Great Idea!" t-shirts to make their case. The plan is slated to come up for a vote in September.
