One Bryant Park, Waterless Urinal Mecca

Metropolis reporter Kristi Cameron attended the groundbreaking of the new Bank of America tower, One Bryant Park (6th Avenue @ 42nd Street, ground level rendering above). She writes,

Among other things, the new skyscraper will feature a fresh-air shaft, an onsite storm-water treatment facility, a cogeneration electrical plant, a graywater cooling system, and waterless urinals (which, so far, have never been allowed in the city).Waterless urinals? Fear not. Says one Santa Cruz conservationist, "They've been road tested, so to speak."
