Given that we've spent a fair part of this week pontificating about Astor Place and the East Village, hell, why not buy a place there? Curbed's real estate spy suggests three open houses to hit on Sunday.
1) 87 St. Mark's Place [Douglas Elliman] (open house 12-2pm)
Apts 4A and 4C are offered as a package deal. Is the $900k asking price for two or one? We're not sure. Best part? Apt 4A has a 1200 sqft "Hamptons style roof deck & garden (above) has its own irrigation system and is wired for sound." The kicker? "Apartment #4C currently has a rent stabilized tenant but will make a great addition to Apt. #4A in the future!" (The joyful task of kicking them out falls, of course, to you.)
2) 21 Astor Place [Corcoran] (open house 1-4pm)
Apts 6C and 6D, two 2 bed / 2.5 bath, $2.5m-$2.7m in a classic 1892 Astor Place loft building. Hey, go ahead and enjoy the Sculpture of Living right from your window!
3) 240 East 10th Street [Halstead] (open house 3:30-5pm)
Apt 8A, 2 bed / 2 bath, $1.425m, in the New Theater Building between 1st and 2nd Aves.
