Not everyone on the Upper East Side is as blessed when it comes to housing as Woody Allen. A Curbed reader reports:
The one-story building housing a Bagelry, etc. on the Northwest corner of 96 & Madison was torn down over the past month and a new 12 story condo is taking its place. A sales office with details (the new condos appear to be doing everything they can to look pre-war) appears ready to open a couple of doors down on Madison between 95th and 96th. Bummer for the folks on the west side of 17 East 96th whose views are totally destroyed.
