New York, NY- On August 5, 2004, real estate giant The Corcoran Group defeated Prudential Douglas Elliman 8-7 in the inaugural Real Estate World Series.
?I am extremely proud of my team for the way they came back,? said Corcoran CEO Pamela Liebman. Liebman's 4th inning single sparked Corcoran to victory after trailing 5-0.
More than 100 of New York City?s top real estate brokers came out with their red and white pom-poms to support Liebman and the rest of the Corcoran Closers. After the game, the two teams celebrated together and Elliman presented the Real Estate World Series trophy to Corcoran Closers Manager and team founder Marc Lawrence. ?We will thoroughly enjoy holding the trophy until next year?s Real Estate World Series,? said Lawrence.
