Restauranting of Clinton Street Continues Apace

Promising new East Village/Lower East Side weblog lesevil (authored by photoblogger Trevor of NYCArtCollective) treks to the land of Wylie Dufresne to survey the latest in fashionable plywood. On the single block of Clinton Street between Houston and Stanton, he finds six existing restaurants, two places readying to open soon (above, a new tapas restaurant on the corner of Clinton/Stanton slated for September), and an empty lot: "This lot at 19 Clinton St. used to be the location of Sago, the Moroccan place that closed about 2 years ago. No sign of what's going to be built in its place but a safe bet is that it will involve food."
