Partying Down at The Toy Factory Lofts

Yesterday, a new "affordable luxury" development in downtown Brooklyn called The Toy Factory Lofts hit the market. Last weekend, the Post predicted "a frenzy" for spots in the building, given its (relative) affordability. At the launch party open house last night, a Curbed reader found exactly that:

last night, i went to the toy factory condos opening night open house, and boy, was it a doozy. you'd think you were at a 1999 incubator launch party: booze, hors d'oeuvres, valet parking, jazz band, lines (of people, not coke, though who knows), people wearing far too much black. at any minute, i thought jay-z was going to turn up to perform in consideration for an apartment. the only things missing were the schwag bags and worthless stock options.Real estate bubble? Sez who!
