Childs Makes Convincing Case that He Didn't Steal Freedom

Speaking of absurd architectural feuds, Freedom Tower designer David Childs responds at last to the allegation that he ripped off the design from a Yale architecture student. In court papers filed last week, he denies the alleged grand theft larceny. Reports the Yale Daily News:

Childs did admit to having seen "certain designs allegedly prepared by Shine" when Childs served on a panel of jurists invited to evaluate students' architectural work for a studio class at Yale in 1999. Childs also admitted that he commented on Shine's studio presentation and invited Shine to visit his firm.
Good enough for us. Enough with this lawsuit! Freedom wants to be free!
