Man, we just knew the mercenaries at Diller Scofidio + Renfro wouldn't take defeat?even in a model-building contest held at a bar?lying down. This morning, we've received word that the victory given to Smith-Miller + Hawkinson at the Master-Disaster Architects Duel has been rescinded and the contest declared a draw. (From an official press release: "The crowd's fervor proved a hindrance, as rumors abound regarding some taking advantage of the time-honored ballot process to vote more than once for their favoured architect.")
Comparing the two models (above), we're going to have to hand the victory to... our four-year-old nephew, who kicks ass with his Lego moon set.
