With Upper Manhattan residents emailing in droves to inform us everything is completely okay with their subway service, a Brooklyn resident has another view:
With regards to real estate prices and the A/C train, I don't know if it means prices will fall and maybe it won't screw Manhattan but it certainly screws Brooklyn. My commute from Boreum Hill was an hour and ten minutes longer than normal in one direction and 45 minutes longer than usual on the way home. I got the apartment because it was next to the A/C and only 15 minutes to downtown Manhattan. I definitely will not be renewing my lease this spring if the delays continue. That clinches it. We're going long on Queens.
