Apple Plans Pyramid for Midtown

I.M. Pei, eat your heart out. Apple has just announced its intention to open a second Manhattan Apple Store in the GM Building on Fifth Avenue (@ 58th/59th Streets) adjacent to FAO Schwartz. Rent on the space is said to top $3 million a year, and Apple plans to invest big in the location. Reports AppleInsider, "One source claims Apple will give the exterior of the store a look similar to the glass Pyramid found in the Louvre's cour Napoléon, only in cube form."
