Ikea's Red Hook Destruction: Public Health Threat!

While we continue reeling from Ikea's ongoing destruction of the historic Red Hook waterfront, a Curbed reader offers some much-needed perspective:

I'm assuming that if that block is being torn down, then the fenced-off lot down the way with the graffiti warning sex-seekers to beware of the women in the neighborhood is going too. How dare IKEA pave over valid public health warnings in the name of low-cost and fashionable furniture! We can only hope that Stockholm expands social welfare to Red Hook in exchange for replacing Civil War-era buildings with asphalt and giant yellow and blue locater signage.
