The Buzz at Astor: What's on the Tube?

Mother Nature's slippery discharge ruin your Open House New York? Who cares! When the Sculpture For Living winds up on the gossip pages, you know that Sunday has instantly become Fun Day. In the Daily News' Gatecrasher column, Ben Widdicombe had this to say about the Astor master:

Looks like the New York real-estate bubble burst at exactly the wrong time for architect Charles Gwathmey's new Astor Place tower. Sluggish sales have prompted efforts to try to create some buzz for the building, including having Esquire magazine refit a floor with luxury furnishings and throw a party for its "Sexiest Woman Alive" cover girl, Jessica Biel, last Thursday.Photograstar Jesse Chan-Norris, Curbed's Chief Sculpture For Living Correspondent, submits the above photo, which we assume to be said luxury furnishings. While the votives and tiles look fabulous, we can't help but wonder about one thing: Plasma or LCD?
